During their stay in Cuenca, students live with an Ecuadorian family, speaking Spanish and experiencing Latin American culture firsthand. Most of these families have been hosting students since 1989 and have been central to the Program's success. Most students keep in touch with their Ecuadorian families throughout the years, and many return to visit.
